Janet Shalestik, from Merrifield Gardens speaker’s bureau, will teach us about container gardening. Janet will talk to us about what and how to fill beautiful pots for spring, summer and fall. 

Janet won an Emmy Award for a story on organic farming while a TV producer for Capital Edition.  Her interest in plants came from her mother, who encouraged Janet and her three sisters to each pick a side of the house to design and plant a garden bed using their own creativity. 

At the Fair Oaks Merrifield Gardens, Janet helps customers have fun selecting annuals for their own special gardens and containers.

Janet graciously agreed at the last minute to present our February program after the untimely passing of our good friend and scheduled speaker, David Roos.
